Problem/Challenge
Apple required light weight panels to cover trenches around the control panels in their substation. There were a total of 8 rooms to be completed.
Solution
Due to the light-weight, non-conductive and slip resistant properties of GRP, Apple chose our RE-DECK covered grating for the trench covers.
As with most installations into formed concrete trenches, alterations were required on site. These alterations were easily completed as RE-DECK can be fabricated with ease on site. Subsequently, the covered grating did not need re-banded due to the bi-directional strength of the grating, and the corrosive resistance of the RE-DECK was not compromised.
