Relinea at Kickstart Europe 2025: Key Insights and Industry Connections

Relinea was delighted to participate in Kickstart Europe 2025, one of the leading strategy and networking conferences for the data centre industry. Held in Amsterdam, this event brought together industry leaders, experts, and innovators to discuss the future of the sector.

Our Sales Director, George, and Marketing Manager, Marlene, had a fantastic few days attending keynote speeches and panel discussions, gaining valuable insights into the evolving landscape of the data centre market.

Key Insights from Kickstart Europe:

The conference provided a comprehensive outlook on the challenges and opportunities facing the data centre sector. Key topics of discussion included:

🔹 An Outlook on the European Data Centre Market – One of the most anticipated sessions focused on the future growth trajectory of the European data centre industry, particularly in key regions poised for expansion. Experts analysed which markets are set to see the highest levels of investment and development, with particular focus on the FLAP+D (Frankfurt, London, Amsterdam, Paris, and Dublin) markets. Take-up levels for 2025 were discussed in depth, giving attendees a clearer picture of the sector’s expected growth patterns and competitive dynamics.

🔹 The Liquid Cooling Revolution: A Roadmap to Realisation – With the increasing power demands of AI and high-performance computing, liquid cooling is emerging as a game-changing solution for the industry. This panel explored the roadmap to widespread adoption, highlighting key challenges such as scalability, standardisation, and balancing cooling capacity with energy efficiency. As data centres continue to push performance limits, liquid cooling is expected to play a critical role in enhancing sustainability and operational efficiency.

🔹 From Local to Global: Ireland and the UK’s Strategic Position in the European Data Centre Ecosystem – This session provided an in-depth look at Ireland and the UK’s evolving role in the European data centre market. Industry leaders discussed how these regions compare to other leading European hubs and examined key challenges such as regulatory changes, energy availability, and infrastructure development. Despite these hurdles, the UK and Ireland remain strategically positioned for growth, driven by increasing cloud adoption and strong international investment.

🔹 Amsterdam & Nordics Market Outlook – The conference also explored the latest developments in Amsterdam and the Nordic countries, both of which are key players in the European data centre landscape. Amsterdam continues to be a vital hub despite regulatory constraints, while the Nordics are attracting significant investment due to their abundant renewable energy resources and cool climate, making them an increasingly attractive option for sustainable data centre operations.

The Power of Networking: Host in Ireland’s Beers with Peers:

Industry conferences are not only about knowledge-sharing but also about building and strengthening relationships. A huge thank you to Host in Ireland for organising the fantastic Canal Cruise and Beers with Peers event. These networking opportunities provided a brilliant platform for us to connect with existing customers, industry friends, and fellow Irish companies working within the data centre sector.

Host in Ireland brings together 78 partners spanning the entire digital infrastructure ecosystem. This unique alliance is built on a spirit of “co-opetition” – where collaboration drives innovation, even among competing organisations. Together, this community highlights Ireland’s pivotal role in supporting the global digital economy, solidifying its reputation as a world leader in data centre construction and technological excellence.

Irish companies have become global leaders in this space, playing a key role in designing and delivering world-class solutions that meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency, ensuring the industry keeps pace with the rapid evolution of technology and Host in Ireland has been instrumental in driving awareness of these advantages

While they were unable to attend the full conference, our Managing Director, David, and General Manager, Chris, were delighted to join the Beers with Peers event while in Amsterdam on a site visit. This was a great opportunity to engage with industry professionals in a more relaxed setting and discuss key developments within the sector.

Looking Ahead:

Kickstart Europe 2025 reinforced the exciting opportunities and challenges facing the data centre industry. At Relinea, we remain committed to delivering innovative, sustainable, and high-performance solutions that support the evolving needs of this dynamic sector.

We look forward to continuing these important discussions and collaborations throughout the year!
